Safe Environment Training is a Diocese of Phoenix program designed to help protect children and vulnerable individuals through education, awareness, appropriate boundaries, and safe practices.
The Diocese requires employees and volunteers who serve on diocesan campuses and in ministries to maintain current Safe Environment compliance. This helps us provide a safe environment for our students while allowing parents, grandparents, and other family members to participate fully in school activities.
Adults completing Safe Environment Training for the first time begin with the Foundation Training through Catholic Mutual Group (CMG) Connect.
The initial Foundation training takes approximately 50–60 minutes to complete.
Safe Environment certification must be renewed annually. It is valid for 1 year: July 1 through June 30. Returning volunteers should sign in to their existing CMG Connect account and complete the current renewal requirements shown on their dashboard. Annual renewal training takes approximately 20 minutes.
Background checks are required at the foundational training and then once again every 6 years in accordance with Diocese of Phoenix requirements.
If you have any questions, please contact the school at 928.779.1337.
Please make sure your Safe Environment requirements are current before participating in a volunteer activity involving our students. When volunteering on campus, all visitors and volunteers must also follow school procedures for signing in and out.
Safe Environment Training allows us to welcome the involvement of our families while keeping the care and protection of our students at the center of everything we do.
Thank you for helping us keep San Francisco de Asis a safe and welcoming place for our students.
