The SFdA Parent Student handbook in Section III, Academic Information, H and I, describes two ways we keep families informed and connected: report cards and parent-teacher conferences.
Students in Kindergarten through eighth grade receive report cards four times a year: October, December, March, and May. After the first and third quarters we set aside dedicated days for parent-teacher conferences. After the second and fourth quarters we send home a copy of the report cards for families to review.
SFdA will hold fall parent-teacher conferences for all K - 8 families on scheduled half days, October 6–8. Please check classroom communications for the conference sign-up form. This form should have been sent out digitally or sent home with your child on Fri, Sep 25. Please return your requested date(s) and time(s) back to school as soon as possible. Your child’s teacher will confirm your conference day and time by Fri, Oct 2.
Your conference is an opportunity to sit down with your child’s teacher and discuss their academic and social progress during the first quarter. It is also a time to celebrate growth, ask questions, and talk about how we can support your child together, at school and at home.
At San Francisco de Asís, we care about each child’s growth as a learner and as a person. These conversations help us strengthen the partnership between home and school while supporting your child’s overall well-being. We look forward to meeting with you!
We welcome conversations with families throughout the school year. If you would like to meet with your child’s teacher at any time, please reach out. Your child’s teacher will be happy to arrange a conference at a time that works for you both.
