Each week, we highlight a section of our school handbook to help families better understand the foundations that guide our work together. This week, we are focusing on accreditation and what it means for our school community.

San Francisco de Asis Catholic School is a fully accredited educational facility. Our accreditation is granted through the Western Catholic Educational Association, or WCEA, following a comprehensive self-study process. This reflective work allows us to carefully examine our mission, academic programs, faith formation, and overall school culture. It is both a moment of accountability and an opportunity for growth.

In addition to WCEA accreditation, our school is an institutional member in good standing with the National Catholic Educational Association. This membership connects us to Catholic schools across the country and supports our commitment to best practices in Catholic education.

Accreditation is more than a formal designation. It is a sign of our dedication to providing a strong academic program rooted in faith, continuous improvement, and care for each child. We are grateful for the partnership of our faculty, students, and families as we continue this important work together.

SFdA Catholic School is currently working towards our next accreditation review. We will have our next accreditation team visit in February of 2027.
